So What Else is New?

Cripes.

Really? No kidding? The democrats want to raise taxes on the rich? Wow, how novel!

Seriously, it's the same damn thing, over and over and over and over again.

Does anybody else out there see through this thinly veiled attempt to tax a minority so that they can bribe the masses into voting for them?

Well at least that 5.99% interest rate will take the sting off a bit...

I love your site. Again, another solution to this is the FairTax, man!

Well, yes... and we're pissed.

I guess my wife and I are part of the "lucky rich" that "won life's lottery" - we're the ones Demos want to tax more.

Of course, we both worked our way through college and grad school. I'd say the harder we worked and the more we invested in ourselves, the luckier we got.

It also helped that we live fairly frugally - no new cars, no toys like boats or snowmobiles, no pretentious garp to impress others. We still clip and redeem coupons although it embarrasses my kids.

And no, we aren't really rich, but we are above average in income and way below average in debt. We've stayed married, we avoided doing stupid costly things, we put our kids through college on our own dime. One kid is working on a master's degree, the other is in law school. They're like us, they live frugally, are working very hard and are investing in themselves.

But, to the Democrats, we're "rich".

Now, the question I have is this - what the heck can us achievers do to stop their schemes of Marxist income redistribution, especially since we're rapidly becoming a minority who can't win at the ballot box?

At what point does the "tax the rich" scheme become "game over"?

Captain, only someone in denial or a Liberal would disagree with you on this one. Further, I think it's safe to say that the majority of these Dems in office would fit their own target level of being "rich". However, I'm willing to bet they don't cough up the same amount of taxes as the public "rich" does. So, wouldn't it be great if the Republicans, or some organization of good reputation, could divulge all the tricks and cheats these Dems use to avoid being victims of their own bullshit? It just might help put an end to it!

5.99% interest is a nice data point in 2021. If interest rates ever get that high again, the system collapses.
