Beta of the Year

It actually is a tough choice.

I watched Casino Royale tonight.

Bond was played by Daniel Craig who, in my opinion, best portrayed the true nature of the super-spy. He was a brutal, brooding, impatient, drunken, egocentric, and petulant rogue who cleaned up nicely in a Tuxedo. The fights were vicious and prolonged without the campy Batman style one punch and you're out.

If you haven't seen it, I recommend it, but it has the most ridiculously improbable examples of Texas Hold'em hands ever portrayed in a movie. On the other hand, most viewers don't understand the game and would need exaggerated examples for clarity.

I don't want to give too much of the movie away, but Bond goes Beta in the second half of the film. In a way, it portrays him as a true human with character flaws, fighting back emotion in a job where emotion is a liability. He did a much better job than George Lazenby in this regard.
