Antioch College - The Epitome of the Education Bubble

After it closed its doors, it re-opened with a whole, whopping 75 applicants!!!

Yipdee-freaking-ding.

Couldn't be they're a bunch of batshit insane leftists and feminists incapable of math, accounting and basic budgeting now could it?

Let us know when you close again.

For the manginas and male feminists who will go to Antioch College, I doubt that the sexual harassment policy will be a problem at all.

I went to college in Indiana decades ago. In those days there were some hot women at Antioch. These days....
I notice that 'womyn' are not hot as a rule.

Well hey, at least for once a handful of libtards used their own damn money.

But yes, its satisfying to see them fail.

Quoting from the article;

"Antioch College was founded in the middle of the 1800’s and was a bastion of progressive politics from its inception – it was one of the first schools to accept applications from black people. It’s stature grew over time, and had its heyday in the 1960’s and 1970’s. It was a center for the anti-war movement, anti-racism and feminism. The school was committed to democracy and community governance – which includes students. Students play a real, active role in the governance of the campus and the development of school policy. Further, the students do not receive grades, but detailed breakdowns, over several paragraphs, of their professor’s opinions of the student’s performance. Part of this is to break down the hierarchy between professors and students in order to foster more equal relations."

All of that sounds great. I particularly like detailed breakdowns of students' work from professors. Very helpful.

As far as the sexual assault on campus hullaballoo, the first University to create an on campus sexual assault "committee" to deal with the issue (rather than having students take their cases STRAIGHT to the police and legal court system) is to blame.

Crimes need to be reported to law enforcement. NOT professors and "counselors".

Those invested in the campus, such as those who earn their bread and butter from it, are invested in the campus having a good reputation and competitive enrollment rate.

That's why they have instituted a "what happens on campus STAYS on campus" policy with regards to crimes like sexual assault.

They don't want these things getting outside and garnering the campus a bad reputation.

I've told all the young people in my family that if they ever get attacked on campus, go straight to the police, then their lawyers, then the media.

In that order.

You're missing another piece of the puzzle:

The comments are worth a look too, especially the one about how the college lost its accreditation when it closed AND HASN'T YET GOT IT BACK(!) making any degrees obtained there truly worthless!

Do you think that Antioch College will follow the same business model?

Gotta love the University motto: "You tell anyone and we'll kill you"
